2007 Championship
NCCAA WOMEN’S NATIONAL TOURNAMENT DAY
THREE RESULTS; IWU TAKES CROWN
GREER, SC—Indiana Wesleyan cruised to
the NCCAA Women’s National Tennis Championship Thursday at The Greer
Tennis Center. The Wildcats defeated Cedarville University 5-0 in
the championship match, winning all three doubles matches and two
singles.
Kristi Haddad and Shannon Gehrke
defeated Alisa Rutt and Georgiann McClure 8-3 in #1 doubles.
Brittany Raymond and Emily White beat Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys
in #2 doubles, while Courtney Kooyers and Laura Helm defeated
Melinda Workman and Olivia Dolph in the #3 doubles match.
Gehrke defeated Verwys 6-3, 6-0 in the
#3 singles match and Melissa Masterson won 6-1, 6-1 over Workman in
#4 singles.
North Greenville University and Bethel
College tied for third place.

NCCAA WOMEN’S NATIONAL TOURNAMENT DAY TWO RESULTS
GREER,
SC—Cedarville University rallied from three matches down to defeat
North Greenville University to earn a trip to the finals at the
NCCAA National Tennis Tournament Wednesday at the Greer Tennis
Center. The Yellow Jackets will face Indiana Wesleyan University who
defeated Bethel College in the semi-finals.
In morning Pool
A play, North Greenville downed Oklahoma Wesleyan, while Indiana
Wesleyan defeated Palm Beach Atlantic.
In Pool B,
Bethel beat Dallas Baptist and Cedarville edged Emmanuel.
The championship
match will be played Thursday morning at 8:00 at the Greer Tennis
Center.

(WOMEN)
GREER, SC-
Cedarville University and Indiana Wesleyan University remain
undefeated after the opening rounds of pool play at the National
Christian College Athletic Association national tennis tournament.
The tournament, held at the Greer Tennis Center, is hosted by North
Greenville University and the City of Greer, SC.
In Pool A,
Cedarville defeated Dallas Baptist University and Bethel College,
while Emmanuel College lost to both DBU and BC.
In Pool B,
Indiana Wesleyan defeated Palm Beach Atlantic and North Greenville.
Oklahoma Wesleyan lost to both PBA and NGU.
Pool play will
resume Wednesday morning. The match-ups are: Indiana Wesleyan/Palm
Beach Atlantic, Oklahoma Wesleyan/North Greenville, Bethel/Dallas
Baptist, and Cedarville/Emmanuel. Semi-final action begins Wednesday
afternoon with the finals being played Thursday morning.

NCCAA TENNIS NATIONAL TOURNAMENT- DAY 3 WOMEN’S
RESULTS
GREER, SC- Bethel
College defeated Dallas Baptist University to win the National
Christian College Athletic Association women's tennis national
championship. Bethel won all three doubles matches to take a commanding
3-0 lead. Down 4-1 after a Bethel singles victory, Dallas Baptist
came back to win two more singles matches and make the score 4-3.
Sherra Milender,
playing in the number six slot, then defeated Lacy Eggleston to
secure the championship for Bethel. After Eggleston won the first
set 6-2, Milender took that final two sets by scores of 6-3 and
6-2.
North Greenville
University and Cedarville University tied for third place as their
consolation match was rained out.
