Led by the NCCAA National Coach of the Year, Mark Berokoff, the #1 seed Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College captured their third NCCAA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship (DIIA- 1999 & 2002) as they defeated #3 Grace Bible College by the score of 97-84 in overtime.


On their way to the final, Hillsdale defeated #8 Johnson University (TN) 109-92 with Xavier Hunter leading all scorers with 25 points. In a semifinal matchup, Hillsdale then defeated #4 North Central University 105-79 as NCCAA Player of the Year, Trey Sneed, led the way with 23 points and 9 rebounds. In Hillsdale’s championship game victory over Grace Bible College, once again Trey Sneed shined with 27 points alongside Antonio Wilson who scored 26 points.
