For our Christian Service Project, we will be collecting food from
the teams and individuals coming to the meet to provide to a local
food bank in Cedarville. I know that can be a little challenge for
teams travelling, but I would encourage you to have each athlete bring
a canned good that we can collect. Please bring your food items to the
course Friday for collection. A reminder that the coaches meeting will
take place at 8:00 pm Friday night at the Hampton Inn, Springfield. It
is located at the intersection of I-70 and SR 72 at Springfield.
The open race will be at 4:00 pm on Friday on our course. we line
men and women up at the start and fire the gun. They may run 5k or 8K,
but we will not be taking any results or times at the line.
Our facilities director has asked us to relocate the area for team
camps. It will be on the west side of the starting line area. He has
asked me to remind everyone not to set up tents or camps in the area
right behind the starting line. This should make the start area better
for the runners
Our facilities staff will be charging $5 per car that wants to park
at the course. for those of you who have parents/fans that wish to
come to the meet, you may want to remind them of this in advance.
Sincerely,
Paul Orchard
