General Information

Travel

In coordination with the NCCAA, the Arington Foundation developed a chart to help determine the amount of travel reimbursed (per school) and determine the total amount awarded to all schools combined. The amount actually awarded to each school by the Arington Foundation is based on a percentage of miles driven round-trip. The amount awarded for travel is contingent upon the schools that are participating in the tournament and will be determined following the tournament coaches’ call on Sunday, prior to tournament play. Based on last year’s tournament, and using the Arington Foundation scale, schools would have received 60% per mile driven. Regardless if teams drive or fly, their aid will be based on the process explained above.

Lodging

The Arington Foundation will assist member schools with hotel costs beginning on Tuesday of each tournament. As stated in the bid, each team will receive six (6) rooms per night. Teams will have until 11:00 A.M. the day following elimination to check out, unless they are eliminated in the 10:00 A.M. game—in which case they would be required to check-out by 2:00 P.M. of that same day.  Both teams playing in the final game will check-out prior to that game.

Food

For each day that they play a game in the tournament, players and coaches will be provided one meal per day at the on-site hospitality tent.  Coaches will be given meal tickets prior their first game of the day to distribute to players.  If a team is eliminated but chooses to return the following day to watch play, that team will not receive hospitality tickets.
