Shanna
Zolman-Crossley
Shanna is a spokesperson for SCORE
International. SCORE is a non-profit ministry that takes groups on
short-term missions trips. Shanna is currently playing in the WNBA
for the Tulsa Shock. She attended college at the University of
Tennessee and graduated with a degree in broadcasting. Following her
collegiate career she was selected, in the WNBA draft, by the San
Antonio Silver Stars. Shanna played at Wawasee High School in
Syracuse, Indiana. In her high school career she scored 3,085
points, passing former University of Purdue Guard Stephanie
White-McCarty (2,869) as most in Indiana basketball history. She led
the state in scoring each of her 4 years at Wawasee High School,
while posting a career scoring average of 33.2 points per game. She
holds the national high school record in three categories: all-time
consecutive free-throws (70), career free-throw percentage (93.5%)
and season free-throw percentage (95.4%). She was named Miss
Basketball in Indiana her senior year, WBCA All-American,
participated in the 2002 WBCA All-American Game and she played in
the 2002 McDonald’s All-American Game, the first ever held for high
school girls. Shanna scored 21 points and handed out 5 assists in
the game, and she was named co-MVP for her efforts.
Shanna holds the NCAA single season
(.957 in 2003-04) and career (.916) free-throw percentage records.
She broke several Lady Vol records during her 4 years, including
Single Game 3-pointers (7), Single Season 3-Pointers (103), Career
3-Pointers (266), Career-Point Percentage (.425), Single Season Free
Throw Percentage (.957) and Career Free Throw Percentage (.916). She

women’s basketball history (1,806).
On April 5, 2006, Shanna was the 16th
overall draft selection of the WNBA San Antonio Silver Stars. Shanna
played the 2006, 2007 and 2009 seasons with the San Antonio Silver
Stars where she averaged 7.0 points per game in 13.8 minutes per
contest. During the 2008 WNBA Preseason, Shanna tore her ACL in her
left knee during a contest against the Detroit Shock. She injured
her knee on the 2nd offensive possession of the game. Her
2009 season was also cut short due to an injury. In the 2009
off-season Shanna was traded to the Tulsa Shock. In her first year
at Tulsa she averaged 9.7 points per game while playing an average
of 21.3 minutes per game. Her game high for the year was 21 points
against the NY Liberty where she was 6 for 6 from the free-throw
line. She hit 5 3-pointers per game 5 times in 2010.
Shanna is a strong believer in community
service. She has volunteered her time with Race for the Cure, the
Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Toyota Literacy program and she
is an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In 2008
she created the All Things Basketball Camp, an annual event for 5th-12th
