-------------

On behalf of Bluefield College and the Sport Information Department, we want to welcome each of our 2012 softball championship teams to the greater Roanoke Valley area at Botetourt County.

As games are set to get underway tomorrow at the Botetourt Sports Complex, we want to reminder you about a few things for this week that will help you, your staff, fans and families stay connected for the championship event.

1. All games will official digital stats available for coaches and SID's. We will be running Dakstats, so for those in need of Statcrew, you may either await our files or you can have someone in your dugout doing them for your team. We will send a .txt, .xml, html and play-by-play html of every game to both participating teams for each game.

2. Games on field 3 will be available for live stats to view online via links on both Botetourt's and Bluefield's websites to find links, or can be found on the Dakstats Live Webcasts pages.

3. This year all games for both fields are available to view for FREE on live-and-on demand streaming video with full audio commentary. Moreover, each of these games are available on all mobile devices including androids, iPhones, iPads, etc. An exclusive feature for the softball nationals provided by Tourbeau Sports and Bluefield College. Links to video streaming for each separate fields can be found on both our sites as well, and links are below too:

Field 1 Streaming Link:http://www.meridix.com/everywhere.php?liveid=TourbeauSports

Field 3 Streaming Link: http://www.meridix.com/everywhere.php?liveid=BluefieldCollege

4. On Bluefield's website, (look for championship story) there is a downloadable link of a PDF of the official 2012 Championship Program. They will also be on sale at the front entrance gate for only $3

5. Official championship pictures will be taken by a local photographer, Lacie Helms. You will be able to grab photos from her Facebook Photo page, by searching "Lacie Helms Sports Photography". She will be taking pictures of every game. And we will also send out 2-3 photos from every game to you all in case you need them immediately following for distribution to media and your own websites.

6. Official game video with audio commentary is available again this year, but in a different format. This year, you may purchase games at a cheaper price, but it will be in the form of a video file download, which can then be downloaded straight to your personal computer's hard drive. Great for burning yourself, editing in video editor for highlights, placing on social media, and no waiting for days for shipment of a DVD. This can be done through Tourbeau Sports website, at www.tourbeausportsgroup.com

7. Written game recaps will be in form of daily write-ups. They will be done as an 'over-look' of the entire day, so please don't expect extremely detailed recaps of each game, but we will be trying our best to cover each matchup appropriately.

8. Don't forget to follow Bluefield College and Tourbeau Sports on Twitter. This is yet another way to find out up-to-minute scores, news, updates and more for the national tournament all week long. @BluefieldRams and @tourbeausports --- We will mention all teams/colleges in most tweets as well!

9. Finally, if you-a coach-or a player took pictures from today's CSP projects, please be sure to send to me (cneidig@bluefield.edu) any pictures that you may feel are fitting to the event. 1 to 2 pictures is plenty. This would be extremely beneficial .

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you during this national championship week. I am here to accommodate your needs.

All the best,

Chase Neidig

Sports Information Director, Bluefield College

NCCAA Softball Site Media/SI Coordinator

2011 Chaplain

Jennifer Perkins has been involved in sports and ministry for the majority of her life.  She was raised in a Christian home where her dad was a pastor and leader in their church and proved to be a great example of what the Great Commission really means.  She played 3 sports while in high school and went on to play Division I soccer for four years at Liberty University.

While attending Liberty University she met her husband Ken, who also played soccer.  After marrying in 1998, they left Liberty to work at and manage a Christian outdoor wilderness outreach program in Thurmond, West Virginia.

God then took them to Christiansburg, VA and Huntsville, AL to work in local church student ministry.  After blessing both of those ministries they felt the desire to do more overseas and are now missionaries with SCORE International.

Jennifer's main responsibility is to help raise and home school the 5 amazing children that God has blessed her family with.  In her spare time she helps recruit for SCORE International and has also been coaching high school and club volleyball in the Huntsville, AL area for the past 4 years.

Jennifer is a member of West Huntsville Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL.  Jennifer, her husband Ken, and their five children also reside in Huntsville.
